Epilogue

Epilogue

* * *Action has its own result; the result is the end of the action itself, it is not postponed into the future. *

Action appears to have reached its end. Those in control have dusted the old play-book and are recycling old tricks. This is inaction disguised as action. It is chosen by politicians in the hope that it will sustain the present and they will happily go on ever after. Stephen Hawking would not agree. According to him ‘the universe tends towards disorder. If things are left to themselves, they decay.’

There is no possibility that the Empire will be replaced by another Empire. History tells us that Empires were replaced by chaos. Spread the world map and seethe countries/territories that are in chaos. These were the territories that were the seat of an empire. Some have improved their status by sheer hard work. That is the action in continuation. Chaos is the decay caused by inaction. Chaos may replace the structure of a fallen empire.

Official Silence

Jerome Powell talks about “labour market dynamics”. He describes the unemployment problem as “low hiring environments.” He is economical with truth. The hard truth is that companies refuse to invest in new workers to train them, they stick to experienced workers. No fire, no hire is anew normal.

European Central Bank officials discuss inflation targets while Germany faces deindustrialization. They blame supply chains while countries with domestic production maintain stable prices.

World Bank economists lecture India about development while British hospitals are overrun by patients who are given an appointment for running nose in next fortnight. IMF officials worry about Indian fiscal policy while European governments can't keep lights on.

Missing Debt Plan

Individual citizens plan EMIs before buying cars. Families budget loan payments before buying homes. Companies show cash flow projections before accessing credit. What is America's debt repayment strategy? How does a nation service exponentially growing obligations while maintaining current spending levels?

Powell discusses interest rates and inflation targets. He never mentions how principal debts gets repaid. The Fed chair avoids the most basic financial question any borrower faces. Citizens manage personal EMIs. Now the entire nation runs on EMIs of interest payments with no exit strategy. More money is borrowed every year to spend on expenses. At the time of final edit, the debt of $37 trillion climbed to $38 trillion. The debt of the USA grows faster than the economy. Where is the repayment plan?

The Theory Vacuum

Something fundamental has shifted. Delhi Metro runs clean trains on time. New York Subway has garbage on platforms. India has 5G internet everywhere. London YouTubers struggle with basic connectivity. Delhi mechanics are booked weeks ahead. American graduates can't find entry-level jobs. The facts are undeniable. This role reversal demands explanation. Where are the experts with answers?

How did developed countries acquire third world problems? How did developing countries solve first world challenges? Why do countries with printing presses struggle, while countries with factories thrive?

Economists who predicted eternal American dominance now witness Indian infrastructure surpassing American systems. India has the tallest Rail Bridge on Chenab River, the tallest statue in the world, Statue of Unity, the Leh functional commercial airport at the highest altitude in the world and so on. Its two companies have ordered nearly 970 passenger planes with Boeing and Airbus. It has built 100 new commercial airports from old airstrips in the last decade and upgraded all major metro airports while America is struggling to refurbish its old airports.

Financial analysts who championed currency privileges now see those privileged countries struggling with basic services. Development experts who lectured about “Washington Consensus” policies now watch Washington face the problems they claimed to solve. Trade specialists who promoted financial innovation now see countries with simpler systems outperforming complex ones.

The expert class offers no coherent theory for this flip. They mumble about “unprecedented disruptions” and “supply chain challenges.” They don't explain why countries with less money could solve problems that rich countries cannot. The expert establishment provides no competing framework. They offer scattered explanations for individual symptoms. No systemic analysis. Their models don't account for role reversals. Their theories assume permanent Western technological advantage.

The expert track record speaks clearly. Their predictions failed. Their policies created problems. Their theories explain nothing except newspaper gossip. Economic theories prove their worth through prediction and explanation. Experts earn credibility by acknowledging failures and updating frameworks. Theories that cannot explain these realities deserve replacement. Experts who cannot address these questions deserve dismissal.

The Simple Questions

My thesis might be overreaching imagination. Dismiss it entirely as the thesis of an amateur economist, if you want. Currency wars might be conspiracy thinking. Imperial overstretch might be dramatic storytelling. But what alternative explanation do you have? Bad luck is not an answer. It is an excuse. The infrastructure decay remains undeniable. The debt mathematics stay unchanged. The employment paradoxes persist.

If printing money creates wealth, why do currency-issuing nations have infrastructure problems? If financial innovation drives progress, why do simpler systems work better? If global integration benefits everyone, why do autonomous countries show better results? If debt doesn't matter for reserve currency nations, why can't they maintain basic services?

These aren't complicated theoretical questions. They're practical observations that mainstream economists cannot address. Silence is not acceptable. Changing subjects is not sufficient. Blaming external factors while ignoring systemic patterns is intellectual dishonesty. This evasion is the real crisis. Explain, or admit that they are concealing the obvious.
