Nation Rebuilding
I think you've got to slowdown, before you start to blow it.
What does it mean for common citizens, if the empire called the USA collapses? Almost nothing except for short term inconvenience. That too depends upon how it happens. But in the long term it may benefit citizens, if America becomes the welfare republic of the dreams of George Washington (but without his slaves).
Lion Ride
When you ride a bicycle, it has to have two pedals. One will go up and one will go down. When you create an empire, instead of a civilisation, it has to collapse. Collapsing of empire may cause civilisation to collapse, as well. We have discussed the pattern on the scale of History, War, Politics and Anciant Sanskrit wisdom. The noose was created by the USA and it got itself stuck in the noose. But it has to be pulled by the USA, itself to destroy it. Choices exist and it can also choose not to destroy itself.
But dismantling an Empire is like riding the Lion. You can get down only to be eaten by it. The way Lion ate Gorbachev. It does not matter if the Lion is capitalist or communist. That creates hesitancy, even for those who know that the ride is nearing the end. But if any country can pull this historical impossibility, it is America. With its technological skills and active control of narratives, it can pull it off better than the Soviet Union. But in any case the economic problems have to be addressed with promptitude.
It is not doomsday for America. It is the time for transition. It is time for nation rebuilding. It is time to build a nation that serves its citizens. A nation that lets its citizens flourish and emancipate. A nation whose citizens are welcomed in every country outside Europe and are not kidnapped for ransom. But first, understand what has already been lost.
Moralito
On October 2, 2025, at the European Political Community summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stood beside French President Emmanuel Macron and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. Caught on video, Rama jokingly demanded Macron apologize for not congratulating Albania and Azerbaijan on ending their war. A war that never existed. The three leaders laughed openly.
The joke was on American President Donald Trump, who for months had confused Albania with Armenia, claiming credit for ending a conflict between “Azerbaijan and Albania” that occurred only in his imagination. The actual peace deal was between Azerbaijan and Armenia, signed at the White House on August 8, 2025. Basic geography. Basic facts. Repeatedly wrong.
Remember the conduct of previous Administration. Biden as Commander in Chief, had to be commanded for basic navigation skill to get out of room. He was stopped from wandering away by Italian PM Meloni when he visited there for the G7 meeting.
This is moralito, a little moral authority. Not the grand collapse of empire through military defeat, but the quiet death of respect through demonstrated incompetence. When a NATO member's prime minister openly mocks the American president at a European summit for not knowing which war he claims to have ended, the collapse is complete.
But this is earned insult. It was earned when the Commander in Chief of the most powerful empire inhuman history courts a General of a third world rogue mercenary country , and welcomes him in white house. Munir is the General of Pakistan, the country that harboured Bin Laden, who was responsible for the most heinous terror attack on America, in its history.
Imperial majesty is already gone, as documented in earlier chapters. What dies now is something more fundamental: the assumption that America's leaders are competent, that America'sword means something, that America deserves a seat at the table.
The king of Denmark need not mock. Allied prime ministers do it for him, on camera, laughing.
Moral Dimension
The collapse of an empire is a symptom, not a disease. The disease is moral bankruptcy purchased through eighty years of petty theft. It is not grand villains executing master plans, but small opportunists taking advantage wherever possible. Breaking gold convertibility when convenient. Inflating away obligations. Weaponizing crisis. Using military force to maintain monetary privilege. Each decision individually defensible, cumulatively a betrayal of the trust granted at Bretton Woods. Treaties broken when convenient. Currencies weaponized. Allies punished. Enemies are created unnecessarily. Each small betrayal seemed prudent at the time. Cumulatively, they destroyed what cannot be printed: trust.
Imperial majesty is already gone. As documented in previous chapters, countries ignore the warnings of the USA. Military bases cannot restore what moral failure has lost. Economic reforms mean nothing if dharmic foundation remains absent. Allied prime ministers would not mock a nation that kept its word, that knew basic geography, that demonstrated minimal competence in its claims.
Economic Reality
The USA has two problems. One is that its $37 trillion debt is spiralling out of control. Second is servicing this debt with interest payout of about $1.3 trillion per year. If debt is like cancer, the payout is like bleeding wound.Therefore, before treating the cancer, the bleeding wound must be cauterized. Bleeding must stop and patient must be stabilized.
The only way to do that is to reduce government spending and generate $1 trillion every year from savings. The interest payout must be made by generating revenue surplus. It appears that the imposition of enhanced tariff was a plan to do it without cutting down on expenses. It turns out that tariff proved to be another wound on the economy and now inflation is looming. Industries are shutting down as the input cost has gone up with higher import costs.
Labour markets are cooling dramatically. In August 2025, only 22,000 jobs were added to non-farm payrolls. Over the three months from June to August, employment averaged just 29,000 jobs per month, well below the twelve-month average of 122,000. The manufacturing sector alone has shed 42,000 workers since May in a steady four-month string of job losses. Unemployment reached a cyclical high of 4.3 percent.
Tariff being not of much help, cut Government spending. DOGE did some work but now stands abandoned. Stop Military hiring. Stop all the hiring if possible. Think out of the box to reduce spending. There are no other options. Military power without moral legitimacy invites rebellion. External conquest without internal justice guarantees collapse.
Choice Ahead
Two paths diverge. Double down on empire and face collapse. Or choose righteous reconsideration and rebuild trust. Create the Republic which Washington had dreamed of. Accept that the Empire has to disappear, even if gradually. Let America survive.
We have discussed in previous chapter how the dominoes are aligned to fall at first default. Internal suffering meets external pressure. The perfect storm approaches. But storms may pass. Wise leaders shelter their people until calm returns. Naive leaders stand exposed and fall when winds blow strongest. It has been dealt within the previous chapter, in detail.
America's leaders can still choose differently. Reduce spending. End the tariffs crushing citizens. Redirect military spending to healthcare and education. Engage BRICS as a dialogue partner. Do not fight the whole world as enemies. BRICS members are trying to survive in a post Imperial world; they are not out to create anew empire. The dhar mic path exists. It requires humility America has not shown. Acknowledge historical wrongs. Make reparations. Serve citizens before empire. This is not surrender. This is wisdom. Countries that adapt, survive. Those that cling to failing strategies perish.
Quien Sera
The bigger question is who will take the decisions for change? When there is a month long lock down, common people suffer. Common staff of government has to go without pay. Congress members, Senators, President, Vice President and Judges have their pay protected.
Implementation of policies is in the hands of people whose interests lie in NOT implementing them. More critically, implementation of moral transformation is in the hands of those who benefited from moral decay. What is the option? I do not know. It may work if the people who benefit from bad policies are woken up by a call of consciousness or by the complete collapse of the system they thought protected them.
We must realize there are no magical wands in economics. We have been told by economists that printing money is a magical wand and look where it has landed us. Therefore, only broad suggestions can be given. Manner of execution, timeline of execution and actual measures have to be decided by those who have access to all the data and who have authority to decide. Learn the Impossible
There is no greater wisdom than admission of ignorance. Two generations of America have lived in artificial prosperity. They do not know how production economics works. They do not know what it takes to establish a real economy. Go out. Reach out to other countries and learn. Learn from anybody even if it happens to be China. Learn from Japan. Learn from small Caribbean countries delivering growth in double digits. Look East. Read Arthshastra if you like. Learn how gardener trim roots and branches and why. Learn how to govern. Give up rulership.
Learn how to woo industrialists. Reach out to genuine manufacturing giants and enquire what they need to setup shops in USA. Go to Tata from India who have Empires which sell from salt to computer programming to luxury cars. Unlike American billionaires who specialize in creating monopolies and get patronage of the empire to boost it. A nobody from India, started Zoho in a village with home trained computer engineers and is giving Microsoft and google, run for its money. You need enterpreneurs not monopoly exploiters.
Learn from 35 years old Bert Mueller, who is selling Burritos in India and has established a food chain of maxican food in India. He selling combs to a bald man successfully. Do anything but do something. But to do this, politicians will have to cut loose their unholy alliances with existing monopolies in the USA, which is almost impossible. But it is the impossible which is required to turnaround. Nothing less will do.
Dollar management
The USA has become what Switzerland is in Europe and Singapore in south Asia. It is a financial hub with close connections with London. It imports everything except arms and war machinery. If Russia is a big Gas Station, the USA is a big Bank with roads, airports and people living in it.
Devalue dollar, gradually. Remove the dollar pricing monopoly and it will happen. Devaluation will erode the value of assets of rich and their power. That is the Lion, Administration will have to survive. It will make imports expensive and have an inflationary effect but will make exports cheaper and competitive and therefore it may be resorted at the last, once new industries are settled in the USA. The dollar is the only thing left. Do not tinker with it till necessary.
Remove blacklist from SWIFT immediately and let there be free trade in dollars. It will restore global trust in the dollar and may help the USA to continue juggle over the $37 trillion debt for longer time till away is found to repay and cutout this cancer.
Tax Wisely
Inflation is its core problem. Taxes are there to keep check on this too. Use taxes as tool of policy not for extraction. Do not use taxes to fund Imperial ambitions. Certainly not to fund wars. It covers direct wars as well as proxy war.
Make small food preparing restaurants and bakeries and such industries, tax free. Processed food is a big health hazard. When President Obama visited India, in a town hall type meeting with students, he expressed desire that he hoped that India would not take the path of the USA to make processed food as its main meal. It was an admission that as a President he is a complete failure or helpless to give his vision a chance in the USA. Like a poor man sitting on the pavement, he could only desire it for India. That is another example of Drift in Governance we discussed in the previous chapter.
Let me tell you what Obama failed to do. Tax big food chains. Exempt only small ones. It is a small beginning to rein in food monopolies which Biden Administration could not reign in. Exempt small food generating industry. Make poultry and other farms tax free. Make small dairy tax free too. Bring competition for monopolies at local level.
Develop new cities with industrial parks. Give tax holiday to new industries. The USA has only 3% of the area utilized as urban area. The Last city it developed was Las Vegas about 7 decades back. It would generate employment. Stop controlling the citizens. Get rid of the idea of active surveillance of all the citizens at all the times. Keep it passive like other countries do.
Remove all tariffs on food and goods of daily consumption. For other imports, keep it at a low rate about 10% to fund the budget not to punish people. Import food from Russia, Iran and Venezuela to contain the inflation. Contained inflation will give legroom to the Fed to reduce interest rates and it will bring down the annual payout on debt and reduce the deficit.
Introduce turnover tax on financial businesses at avery nominal rate say 0.1%. Remove Income tax as they don't pay that anyway. Collect tax at source on sale of expensive/luxury goods like Yacht or Rolls Royce, this will be adjusted in annual return of income.Raise exemption limits for lower end of society. The $14 K annual income limit is unreasonable. It must be linked to basic needs. To tax the income which does not meet basic needs is like peeling the skin of the people, rather poor people.
Military Bases
Convert oldest aircraft carrier into a tourist cruise ship. Lock down critical military sections. It will save maintenance expenses, as revenue from tourists will sustain it. Add more military ships to create a fleet for global travel of rich with a million dollar apiece ticket. Use marketing tag line like “Around the world in 90 Days.”
Gradually close the military bases abroad. First close the bases which have maximum Engineers. Use them to train the workers for production line. Sell hardware to the countries where it is stationed. Do not attempt to make it a trade negotiation to extract value. Nobody wants you. If they want you, they will call you.
Listen to ‘Gloria’, a song sung by Laura Branigan, many decades back. Don’t be sad. Tell the world that it is your grand gesture to free the world or some other narrative. After all, the real mastery of the USA is in narratives.
Education
American academia has become a Heeramandi. That is a brothel selling intellectual services to the highest bidder (especially foreign funding from China). The "experts" are tawaifs (courtesans) performing for patrons, not seeking truth. I refrained from using this reference in the chapter called Toxic Experts. Teachers are no different as they breed ideologies of political parties through selective reading of history. It has been dealt within detail in chapter titled Education Trap.
Defund humanities like bogus history, fake economics and artificial sociology in universities for ten years. Permit no foreign funding for these departments, especially from China. Guess why it has to China. That is a geopolitical hint. That is all the room I have in this book.
Let university have these departments if it has surplus from other departments. But no promotion of humanities at the cost of STEM. Dishonest education has brought this day upon the USA. Promote STEM and give scholarships to meritorious candidates.
This USA must realise that it lacks skilled manpower at all stages of production. Educational discrimination creates 60% of unemployable people. This is the real calamity. These people will not earn much, pay no taxes and will be a burden on society.
Train people to be plumbers. You need them. Train them to be skilled electricians. Train construction workers. You will need them in nation rebuilding. Skill development for industrial work is also important. Train people to work in factories to be builtin new cities or industrial parks.
Final Question
Will America's leaders choose righteousness or decline? The question itself may be obsolete. Righteousness is not a policy option to be chosen. It is amoral foundation that must be rebuilt brick by brick. A nation whose president confuses his imagination with facts, cannot simply declare itself righteous again.
The whirlpool of debt is here. The loss of moral authority is complete. What happens next depends not merely on courage to choose different economic policies, but courage to acknowledge moral failure and begin genuine transformation. History watches. Citizens wait. The world, now led by nations with cleaner hands and clearer minds, holds its breath and wonders if transformation is possible.
Renewal is possible but unlikely given the incentive structures. What's certain is that the current trajectory is unsustainable. Whether America chooses managed adaptation or experiences chaotic collapse depends on whether elites recognize reality before reality forces recognition.
The choice is yours, America. Choose wisely. Choose quickly. Storms do not wait.
